Palaces of Gondal.
A collection of heritage palaces in the historic town of Gondal, where time slows down, and life feels beautifully unhurried. Surrounded by orchards, rivers, and old royal quarters, these former residences offer a rare chance to experience history as it was lived—calm, dignified, and deeply human.
Here, days begin with birdsong and peacocks in the gardens, afternoons drift through shaded courtyards and galleries, and evenings settle into a gentle stillness. Whether you come seeking heritage, quiet, or connection, we hope Gondal stays with you long after you leave.
Inside The Palaces of Gondal
Conversations, walk-throughs, and visual stories from the palace
These films offer a closer look at life within the Palaces of Gondal—the spaces, the details, and the people who care for them. Shot simply and without staging, they capture the palaces as they are today, along with reflections from the owner on preserving a living heritage.
Through these moments, we invite you to experience Gondal beyond photographs—to hear its voice, sense its rhythm, and understand the thought and care behind every corner. We hope these stories give you a more personal glimpse into the place we call home.

HH Himanshusinhji Jyotendrasinhji Sahib, Owner
Palaces of Gondal has always been deeply personal to me—long before it became a place for guests to stay. These palaces have been part of my family’s life for generations, and preserving them has been a responsibility carried with care, patience, and respect for their history.
Over the years, every restoration, every room, and every detail has been approached thoughtfully, ensuring that the spirit of the palaces remains intact while offering comfort suited to today’s traveller. The aim has never been to recreate the past, but to allow it to live on naturally—quietly and honestly.
Thank you for choosing to stay with us, and for allowing us to share a part of our home and heritage with you.

The HGH Group Hotels
The HGH (His Highness Gondal Heritage) Group Hotels is a collection of heritage properties owned and managed by the Gondal royal family in Gujarat. The focus is simple: preserve historic royal residences and offer them as genuine, well-kept places to stay—without turning them into themed hotels.
Each property reflects a different chapter of Gondal’s past, with original architecture, interiors, and surroundings carefully maintained. Modern comforts are added only where necessary, keeping the emphasis on space, calm, and authenticity.
HGH Group hotels are not designed to impress instantly. They are meant to be lived in—quiet, personal, and unhurried.
